PROJECT MANAGER

Full-time – Flexible

European Federation of Hard of Hearing People (EFHOH), the voice of more than 59 million people with hearing loss million in the European Union, is recruiting a motivated Project Manager.

EFHOH is a Federation of 31 national associations and foundations. EFHOH is a democratic organisation run by its members, represented in the General Assembly and in the Executive Board.

Your mission

Under the guidance and in cooperation with the President and the Board you will lead our Secretariat in Brussels:

-Implement European operational project in the field of disability inclusion:

· Managing the day-to-day activities, ensuring that all the deliverables are ready on time and with the expected quality.

· Leading our small team

· Ensuring the financial management of the EU projects and their sound budgets.

· Managing relations with members and partners.

· Preparing communication content and designing a dissemination strategy in the framework of the EU projects.

· Drafting policy notes and strategies related to the project for policy makers and other stakeholders.

-Support the drafting of projects and EU funding for EFHOH with the rest of the team and members.

· Identifying EU, national and private funding programmes and opportunities with the EFHOH strategy.

· Researching relevant calls for proposals and tenders.

· Bridging funding opportunities with members’ and the network’s strategy

-Support the President and team in other activities: as a small team, we are all hands-on.

· Follow-up on policy areas connected to our core activities

· Some overall communication actions

· You may be asked to oversee tasks related to the functioning of the network (working groups, organisation of meetings of the General Assembly)

 

Candidate profile

· Motivated, proactive person, enthusiastic about working in a small team, in a multicultural and an international environment.

· Knowledge of NGOs, especially in social justice and disability area

· Excellent organisational and project implementation skills. You can handle multiple activities and projects simultaneously. Working accurately, efficiently and autonomously, also in tight time constraints.

· Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a wide range of audiences, including senior public officials.

· You have a minimum 3 to 5 years of proven experience on projects and have proven track record of successfully managing several complex European projects

· You have a Master’s degree in relevant field (social sciences, political science, social economy) or relevant proven experience. Experience as a researcher is a plus.

· You are fluent in English

· Knowledge of French or Dutch a bonus

· You have a work permit to work in Belgium.

 

Job description

· Contract: full-time – (We are open to flexible working arrangements for right candidate)

· Starting date: As soon as possible

· Workplace: Brussels, remote with regular in person team meetings. You might be required to travel across Europe occasionally.

· Renumeration will depend on qualifications and experience in line with similar roles in Belgium
