We are excited to announce that EFHOH has recently become a member of the WHO Disability Health Equity Network, a global platform launched in June 2025 to advance health equity for persons with disabilities worldwide.
The Network brings together governments, health providers, academics, and civil society organisations under a common vision: closing the health gaps between people with disabilities and the wider population. It provides a strong framework for joint action by supporting countries and stakeholders to share knowledge, shape inclusive policies, and promote equal access to healthcare.
For EFHOH, this marks a significant step forward. For EFHOH, this marks a significant step forward. Our participation will ensure that the voices and needs of hard of hearing people are represented within this global coalition, and that hearing care is recognised as a key component of health equity and disability inclusion in the global healthcare agenda.
Through this partnership, EFHOH is committed to contributing evidence, expertise, and lived experience to shape health systems that effectively address the rights and needs of hard of hearing people.
