On 2–3 December 2025, EFHOH attended and proudly supported, together with Fundación ONCE, the Accessible Europe: ICT 4 ALL event in Brussels. The forum was jointly organised by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the European Commission, bringing together leading European and international stakeholders to discuss digital accessibility policies, implementation challenges, and innovations shaping the future of inclusive technologies.

Accessible Europe: ICT4ALL is a multistakeholder regional knowledge-development forum organised under the ITU Regional Initiative for Europe on Digital Inclusion and Skills Development. This event took place alongside the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, reinforcing the global commitment to advancing accessibility, digital skills, and inclusive technologies for persons with disabilities.

Our President Lidia Best spoke on the panel “Digital Accessibility in Europe”, highlighting the importance of stronger national implementation of EU and international accessibility legislation.

Her message, “accessibility is not that hard, we just need to change the mindset,” was a powerful call to action as Europe works toward truly inclusive digital environments!

During the event, EFHOH Board and staff also met with Jaroslaw K. Ponder, Head of the ITU Office for Europe.

EFHOH is committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen digital inclusion and ensure equitable access to information and communication technologies for all hard of hearing people in Europe.
