On 3 March 2026, EFHOH President Lidia Best and Project Manager Henrique Raskin participated in important discussions at the European Employment and Social Rights Forum 2026, held in Brussels under the theme “Social Europe: Empowering people in times of change.”
A key focus of the forum was how Europe can maintain quality jobs, fair opportunities, and strong social protection systems while adapting to technological change, economic pressures, and geopolitical uncertainty.
The event also explored the importance of early years and inclusive education, closely aligning with the message of World Hearing Day this year: “From community to classrooms.” Ensuring accessible learning environments is essential for children and young people with hearing loss.
It was also a great opportunity to reconnect with colleagues from the European Commission DG EMPL and continue the dialogue on building a more inclusive Social Europe.
