Assistive Technology Day: From Hearing Devices to Inclusive Environments

To mark World Assistive Technology Day, EFHOH invites you to join a webinar focused on assistive technologies for hard of hearing people and their role in supporting communication, independence, accessibility, and inclusion.

Assistive technologies play a transformative role in the lives of hard of hearing people. Whether at school, at work, online, or in everyday interactions, they can help remove barriers that continue to prevent many hard of hearing people from accessing information and communicating on an equal basis with others. Yet awareness of the wide range of available solutions and their potential remains limited.

This webinar will raise awareness of the diverse assistive technologies available to hard of hearing people and explore how they can help remove barriers and support full participation in society. Bringing together policy perspectives and practical experiences, the session will highlight current challenges, emerging opportunities, and the impact that assistive technologies can have on everyday life.

Date: 08 June 2026
Time: 18:00 – 19:30 CEST
Location: Online (Zoom)

The webinar will be supported by Real-Time Speech-to-Text captioning to ensure accessibility.
