Breaking the Glass Ceiling: Giving Voice to Hard of Hearing Women Leaders
We are pleased to invite you to the International Women’s Day 2026 Webinar, entitled “Breaking the Glass Ceiling: Giving Voice to Hard of Hearing Women Leaders”, taking place on 11 March 2026.
The event is jointly organised by the European Federation of Hard of Hearing People (EFHOH) and the International Federation of Hard of Hearing Young People (IFHOHYP).
Marking International Women’s Day, the discussion will highlight the leadership and lived experiences of hard of hearing women across generations. Despite progress in gender equality and disability rights, hard of hearing women continue to face structural barriers, stereotypes, and underrepresentation in professional and decision-making spaces.
Hard of hearing women leaders will share their personal and professional journeys, reflecting on the challenges they have encountered and the strategies that have supported their leadership pathways. The webinar will foster intergenerational dialogue and explore how advocacy, inclusive practices, and solidarity can strengthen representation and advance gender equality within the hard of hearing community and beyond.
Date: 11 March 2026
Time: 17:00 – 18:30 CET
Location: Online (Zoom)
The webinar will be supported by Real-Time Speech-to-Text captioning to ensure accessibility.
Registration is mandatory and available here, or by clicking the image below.
We look forward to welcoming you to this important conversation on leadership, representation, and inclusive change.
