EFHOH was very pleased to welcome the European Commission to the Annual Conference 2026 in Brussels on 17-18 April.
The presence of Inmaculada Placencia Porrero, Senior Expert in Disability and Inclusion at the European Commission (DG Justice) and member of the UNCRPD Committee, was a strong and valued contribution, highlighting the importance of continued EU engagement in advancing disability rights and accessibility across Europe.
Inmaculada’s keynote speech set a clear tone for the conference and future pathways, focusing on the implementation of the EU Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the importance of translating policy commitments into concrete action for the hard of hearing community.
