On 14 July, EFHOH took part in the event “Artificial Intelligence for Accessibility: From Innovation to European Standard” at the European Parliament in Brussels, hosted by the ECR Group.

The event brought together policymakers, researchers, industry representatives, and civil society organisations to discuss the role of artificial intelligence in advancing accessibility and inclusion. Discussions explored the opportunities AI may offer for persons with disabilities, as well as the importance of ensuring that technological developments are designed with accessibility and inclusion at their core.

EFHOH thanks MEP Chiara Gemma for the invitation and for facilitating this exchange among stakeholders. We look forward to continuing our engagement in European-level discussions on innovation, accessibility, and digital inclusion, while bringing the perspective of persons with hearing loss to relevant policy dialogues.
