On April 9, 2025, EFHOH hosted its online members’ meeting with Apple representatives Benedikt Blomeyer and Dr. Frank Lin to exchange ideas on hearing accessibility and innovation.

This dialogue followed EFHOH’s January leadership meeting in Brussels, where member organisations agreed on the importance of engaging with major technology companies to ensure that the needs of hard of hearing users are considered in the development of hearing technology products.

During the discussion, Apple representatives shared updates on their growing involvement in hearing health, including features for hearing protection, testing, and assistive features via AirPods Pro. EFHOH members had the opportunity to ask questions, share lived experiences, and reflect on how technology can better support accessibility.

This exchange marked an important step toward enhancing collaboration between EFHOH and the tech sector. EFHOH remains committed to ensuring that innovation reflects the lived experiences of hard of hearing people and to turning member priorities into real impact.
