On 20 and 21 February 2026, EFHOH was pleased to take part in the Week of Sound 2026 in Portugal, attending the International Conference at the Centro Cultural de Belém and the live performance in the Teatro Capitólio.
EFHOH President Lidia Best contributed to the session Make Listening Safe | Perspectives from EFHOH and the World Hearing Forum (WHF-WHO), highlighting safe listening, hearing health, and accessible sound environments. The conference brought together experts, advocates, and communities from across Europe, while the concert emphasised the cultural and inclusive aspects of music and listening.
EFHOH’s participation reinforced the importance of promoting awareness, accessibility, and equal opportunities for people who are hard of hearing.
