On 2–3 April 2025, EFHOH Board Member Darja Pajk represented EFHOH at the Global Disability Summit in Berlin, Germany, alongside nearly 4,000 participants from governments, NGOs, and civil society.

The key takeaway from the summit was that inclusion must move beyond promises to real change, measured by meaningful participation of persons with disabilities in education, healthcare, employment, and social protection.

EFHOH supports the Amman-Berlin Declaration on Global Disability Inclusion, which calls for the full implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and introduces the “15% for the 15%” principle, ensuring that at least 15% of development initiatives directly benefit persons with disabilities, as part of the 15% of the population.

The summit ended with a strong commitment to building a more inclusive and accessible world, where no one is left behind.
