On 19 March 2026, UN Women, together with ATscale, launched the policy brief “Unlocking HER Potential: Gender equality through equitable access to assistive technology” at a high-level side event during CSW70 in New York.

The brief highlights that access to assistive technology is essential for the full enjoyment of human rights and a key enabler of gender equality across the life course.

EFHOH contributed to the consultation process, helping ensure that the perspectives of women with hearing loss are reflected.
