On 5 November 2025, EFHOH held a Members’ training “ABC to Mastering Health Advocacy”, led by Prof. Sara Rubinelli, Chair of Health Communication at the University of Lucerne.
The training aimed to strengthen members’ capacity to plan and deliver strategic, evidence-based advocacy. Participants explored how to define clear objectives and messages, map stakeholders, build effective coalitions, and make the often-invisible impact of hearing loss more visible in public and policy discussions.
Prof. Rubinelli offered both theoretical insights and practical tools to help organisations connect their communication strategies with their advocacy goals, ensuring that their efforts are structured, persuasive, and aligned with broader policy frameworks.
The session also included an interactive discussion, where members shared experiences and challenges in advocating for hearing accessibility and inclusion at national and European levels.
This training was part of EFHOH’s ongoing commitment to empower its members with the skills and tools needed to influence change in access to hearing care, hearing aids, cochlear implants, assistive technologies, and lifelong support across Europe.
EFHOH warmly thanks all participants for their active engagement, and Prof. Rubinelli for her inspiring insights!
