On 7–8 May 2026, Jonathan Elebjörk Wahlström represented EFHOH at the Cypriot Presidency High-level Conference “Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities: Empowerment and Support in a Community for All” and the Disability Platform Meeting in Limassol, Cyprus.
The conference brought together EU institutions, national ministers, civil society organisations, and disability advocates to discuss supported decision-making, community-based support services, and the empowerment and autonomy of persons with disabilities, in line with the UNCRPD.
The event featured the participation of European Commissioner Hadja Lahbib, who presented the enhancement of the European Disability Rights Strategy through 2030.
EFHOH was proud to contribute to these important discussions and to continue advocating for a more accessible, inclusive, and rights-based Europe for hard of hearing people.
