EFHOH was pleased to participate in the IVSS Churchear International Conference 2026, held in Frankfurt, Germany, from 24 to 27 August 2026.
Representing EFHOH, Darja Pajk delivered a presentation on human rights and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). The session provided an opportunity to reflect on how legal rights can be effectively implemented in everyday life.
Participants actively contributed to the discussion by sharing experiences, challenges and practical approaches to addressing barriers. The exchange highlighted the importance of awareness, advocacy and the practical application of rights.
The conference programme also included discussion, painting and music workshops, offering opportunities for participants to engage and exchange experiences in an inclusive setting.
Participants were particularly moved by a presentation delivered by our member PFOS on deafblindness, emphasising the importance of accessible communication and appropriate support for people with combined hearing and vision loss.
Meetings such as this provide valuable opportunities to strengthen cooperation among members, exchange knowledge and continue working towards greater accessibility and equal participation.
